I Will Never

I feel like most of us make a list or at least think about the things we want to be.  But how many of us think about the things we don't want to be?  These are just some late night pondering's I occasionally have.

I will never come between two people.  That's happened to me and I didn't like how it felt.

I will never apologize for being the lady my parents raised.  I'm strong and independent, nothing to apologize for there.

I will never be a sedate, calm, collected woman.  I was born free and I'll always be a touch wild.

I will never not smile and laugh too much.  What is a world without laughter?

I will never not be too loud.  I'm a very happy and excitable person, I don't really understand 'library voices'.

I will never compromise my integrity.  You've gotta stand for something, or you'll fall for anything.

I will never abandon my love and compassion for animals.  How can we expect them to treat us right if we don't do the same?

I will never give up dreaming.  Dreams and goals are apart of what makes us better people.

I will never stop learning.  I may be done with school soon, but that doesn't mean I have nothing left to learn.

I will never give up on my quest to find whatever it is my soul aches for.  Who knows where that search may lead.

I will never give up on trying to be the healthiest and best version of me that I can.  It's a life changer.

I will never stop loving.  No one likes an Ice Queen.

I will never not be proud of who I am and where I came from.  My roots run deep.

What are some of your never wills?

I Want

I want to go places I've never been, and some I already have.
I want to be a truck-stop waitress in Baton Rouge, a feed store clerk in Nebraska, a range rider in the Dakotas.
I want to live in upstate New York in the fall, Maine in the winter.
I want to dive in crystal clear waters, climb an Incan Pyramid.
I want to ride into the Grand Canyon on the back of a burro.
I want to step foot in every U.S. state and territory, and keep a souvenir from each.
I want to party with the locals in Tijuana.
I want to see a midievil castle.
I want to sing mournful songs at the edge of the sea in Ireland.
I want to travel to places no one thinks about traveling to.
I want to feel the love of a good man, have a passionate affair with a European.
I want to learn to read Latin, and become fluent in a foreign language.
I want to travel to that country and put my hard work to use.
I want to attend mass at The Vatican.
I want to help the less fortunate and be ever so grateful for the life I've been given.
I want to ride beautiful horses, go moose hunting, meet a famous person.
I want to learn to fight well.

There's so much I want to see and do in this life of mine.  The thought of being tied down, restricted to living in one place forever, makes my soul ache.  I may not achieve all of my dreams, but I'll sure die trying :)

Believe in Your Dreams

My room-mate gave me a book to flip through today, 'Always Believe in Yourself and Your Dreams'.  It's a Collection from Blue Mountain Arts, and has a lot of very inspiring/helpful quotes in it.  It's really a pretty cool little book!

My parents have always known I'm a little dreamer.  From crazy things(even I agree) to seemingly attainable goals if I worked my hind end off, hard.  When I was really little my friends and I used to sit around and draw.  Our favorite thing?  Our ranches, when we grew up of course.  We would draw all kinds of things!  From horse barns, to arenas, to tracks and breeding facilities.  Mine always also included cattle.  We used to also enjoy coming up with crazy registered names for our horses, mostly inspired by the hundreds of APHA and AQHA Journals I had stacked under my bed.  As I got older my dreams turned into more real life ideas, and I love them all.  Even if I won't ever get the chance to travel all across Europe, its nice to dream.  Some people believe dreams are a luxury or something only children do, but that's not true.  It's important to dream and look forward to the wonderful things that are yet to come.  Here's a little excerpt from the book I read through today:

 Be a Dreamer

Dare to dream, for dreamers see tomorrow.
Dare to make a wish, for wishing makes way for hope, and hope is what keeps us all alive.
Dare to reach out for the things no one else can see.
Be unafraid to see what others cannot.
Believe in your heart and in your own goodness, for in doing so others will believe in them, too.
Believe in magic, because life is full of it.
But most of all, believe in yourself... because within you lies all of the magic, the hope, the love, and the dreams of tomorrow.
